I try to start my day this way at least 3 to 4 times a week, and what a difference it has made. Flaxseed is very high in omega-3 essential fatty acids that can lower cholesterol, stabilize blood sugar, lower the risk of breast, prostate, and colon cancers, and can reduce the inflammation of arthritis. So why not dive into this as much as you can?

Ingredients

1½ cup mixed berries (frozen is fine, no need to thaw)

2 cups low-fat milk, use a good quality almond milk if you prefer

2 tablespoons low-fat yogurt, plain or any berry flavored as you prefer

2 tablespoons flaxseed powder or whole flaxseeds

2 tablespoon honey

optional: 1 teaspoon of Maca or/and Chia seeds
Method

Place all ingredients into a blender and purée, adding more milk as you purée if you like a thinner texture.  

Take note! This recipe doesn't require any spices.
