Baked Kafta With Veggies
There are many styles of making kafta. For vegetarians, use the same recipe but replace meat Kafta with Malai Kafta,  potato and cheese, known as Indian Panner.

Ingredients

For the kafta:

1kg ground beef (or lamb if you prefer)

1 cup of finely chopped parsley

½ red onion finely chopped

1 teaspoon black pepper, salt, cinnamon

¼ teaspoon cinnamon, salt, black pepper. 

2 teaspoons corn flour


For the sauce:

½ red onion sliced

100g tomato paste

1 cup water

Black pepper and salt for seasoning

1 clove garlic, crushed


For the topping:

2 tomatoes, sliced in circles

2 potatoes, sliced in circles

1 red onion, sliced in circles


Method

In a food processor or with your hands, mix all ingredients for the kafta. Roll into little
logs and lightly pan-fry over medium heat, until browned. Place in a baking pan.

In a sauce pan, lightly sauté the onion and mix all ingredients for the sauce. 

Pour the sauce over the kafta in the baking pan. Add the slices of potatoes, tomatoes and onions on top of the kafta and sauce.

Cover with foil and bake for approximately 30 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius. 

Serve with rice.

Take note! This recipe doesn't require any spices.
