After peas have been harvested the remaining plant easily breaks down to create more organic fertilizer for the soil!
200 g premium ground beef
1 small red onion, chopped
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh green peas or frozen if all you have
2 carrots, peeled and cut into small cubes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1. If you choose to add meat, sauté the ground beef or meatballs (see meatball recipe) with chopped onions in vegetable oil. Without meat sauté the onions and proceed to step 2.
2. Season with cinnamon and salt
3. Add carrots to the mixture- Sauté for 5 minutes as they begin to soften add the peas
4. Add tomato paste and mix well. Add beef or vegetable stock if you prefer a saucier dish
5. Serve with rice.
