1 small red onion sliced
2 bunches fresh spinach approximately 500 grams, de stemmed and chopped
250 grams meatballs – see meatball recipe or use your favorite meatball method
½ teaspoon cinnamon, Arabic 7spice, salt, black pepper
1/4 cup fresh coriander, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1. Sauté the onion over medium heat in a large saucepan, adding the meatballs while stirring well.
2. Add spinach, stirring frequently to avoid anything sticking to the pan. Add rest of the ingredients.
3. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes then lower heat.
4. Add a bit of water or stock to make this saucier if too dry.
5. Serve with rice.
